We purchased this Compressed earth brick machine from a devotee who was in Prabhupada village, NC. It can make about 1000 bricks a day.
Found the perfect dirt just 10 minutes from us.
This is the first brick ever made in the machine and the first of many to come.
With the right amount of funds, we plan to construct a small village using CEB (compressed earth bricks ) consisting of cottages to house guests, housing for residents, and a kirtan hall of approximately 1000 sq. ft., which would include a kitchen. The village would be well situated at the most ideal spot on the property and be designed with walkways and gardens to create an idyllic and natural setting. To further the experience of the guests, we plan to have Saunas and cold plunges that are extremely healthy, relaxing, and provide further opportunities for association between guests and residents. In the plans is a “yoga deck”; an approximately 30’ round wooden platform, with a fire pit in the center, which can be used for evening kirtans, hatha yoga, seminars and general relaxation. If substantial trees are available, we can build tree houses for guest quarters as well.
Thoughtful planning and using natural construction methods should attract people with a desire to be closer to nature and the principles of simple living and high thinking. There are also people interested in learning these construction methods who would want to take part in the construction just to learn the art.
